07/06/2022 -  Thank You Firecracker Riders!

Hello Firecracker Riders!! We hope you enjoyed riding the 2022 Firecracker on the 4th of July

We still have work to do with tying up some things, but I wanted to say THANKS to riders for participating and THANKS to ALL the volunteers for all their time, hard work on a hot July day to support the MS Society!  We hope you enjoyed the day as much as we all did!
People connected to the National MS Society report they are better equipped to manage life with MS. The National MS Society is here for every person with MS—we always will be—until we find a cure. We embrace and are committed to bringing our entire MS community together, representative of all the various dimensions of diversity, so that everyone feels at home and supported by their National MS Society.

Due to last minute changes in food trucks (things happen), we had to scramble to get food, but I think that worked out okay. Thanks to Jersey Mikes and Papa John's pizza for responding quickly to a last minute panic call! As this was an unexpected expense, many of you also really stepped up and chipped in – THANK YOU!  Your donations helped offset the cost and improve our donation to the MS Society!  Woot!

We had a lot of requests for the jersey, which is fabulous!

LOST: If anyone has found an e-bike battery in the Duke Parking lot, please email me at FireCrackerRide@CapitalCyclingClub.org
Here are some details from our 100K sweeper who lost it.
  • Approximately 2” x 18” long.
  • I parked in the parking lot at Duke at the extreme right front corner of the lot.
  • I finished my ride (sweeping the 100k) at about 2:00 pm.
  • I took the battery off my bike and I thought I had placed it inside my truck (but to no avail).

Post Ride Surveys will be sent to riders and volunteers in the next few days.
PLEASE send your feedback to help us make next years event even better. ðŸ˜Š

We will keep you posted on any updates as we have them.

THANK YOU THANK YOU for attending and helping make this a great ride!
