Kickoff your 4th of July by joining a 1,000 riders at this year's Firecracker Bike Ride!! Come early for the ride and stick around for the after-party with music, food and tasty beverages! 

Proceeds from the ride benefit the Greater Carolina’s MS Society to help fight this challenging disease. Last year we raised $15,000 for the cause!!

• Day-of registration is $45.00 and opens at 6:30 am on July 4th

• Register by Monday, May 20th, for $30.00 ($15 off day of registration). Or by Sunday, June 16th, for $35.00 ($10 off day of registration).

All registrations prior to June 16th will receive a free T-shirt and an opportunity to purchase a hat for $15.00 with the Firecracker logo (new for 2019!!)

  • Looking to upgrade your ride? All Star Bike Shop will have the Roubaix Expert UDI2 and Roubaix Comp Carbon bikes available for a demo ride, click for more information and to sign up! The demo is free but anything added to the tip jar goes to fight MS.

Start of Ride

In the morning prior to the ride, Start Right Foods will offer free hot waffles and 5 Star Coffee Roasters will offer coffee for purchase.  

All Star Bike Shop will have Specialized Bikes available for demo, see details below and reserve a bike before they're gone!

Routes

There will be 100km (60 mile) and 50km (30 mile) marked routes with SAG support, as well as stocked rest stops. See route details below.

After Party

CBC Brewery will host the family-friendly after party with OveRDUb (formerly known as Eric’s Attic) playing live music! We’ll have food trucks and beer for sale along with a limited supply of complimentary drinks thanks to Pepsi. CBC will donate $1.00 to MS for every beer sold.

Register

  • Online registration with NO pre-registration packet (NO T-Shirt) runs from Monday, June 17th to Tuesday, July 2nd at 8:00 PM EST. 
  • By Monday, May 20th, for $30.00 ($15 off day of registration).
  • By Sunday, June 16th, for $35.00 ($10 off day of registration).

• Online registration available through USA Cycling:

  • By registering at USA Cycling, pre-registered riders NO LONGER NEED TO SIGN A PAPER WAIVER. USA Cycling collects your online signature.  
  • Please note that to pre-register, you must create a USA cycling account, but creation of an account is free! If you already have an account or racing license, life is even easier. 
  • Once you create an account, you can register for the ride and choose your distance. You can also purchase hats or extra t-shirts (by June 16th) or donate online to MS.
  • By default, USA Cycling adds a one-day license option (for those who do not already hold a USA Cycling license). You DO NOT have to purchase a one-day license to ride the Firecracker Ride, so remove this from your cart if you do not want to buy it. 
  • If you purchase a one-day license you are entitled to the USA Cycling accident medical coverage the day of the event. All medical coverage is subject to the terms, conditions and exclusions of the policy. For more detailed information please contact USA Cycling.
